About me and my therapy practice
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by unresolved trauma - especially from a relationship - you're in the right place.
Whether it's with a partner, parent, sibling, friend, colleague or the relationship with yourself, I can show you how to heal, gain clarity, and make the bold changes required to live in alignment with your truest self.
My approach is trauma informed, compassionate and rooted in deep personal and professional experience. Together, we can work through the emotional patterns holding you back and help you move forward with greater ease and empowerment.
My Approach
I combine intuition with psychotherapy and psycho-education, somatic practices like breath-work, mindfulness and body awareness, to help you understand your experiences and find a path forward.
Drawing from a variety of techniques I intuitively integrate:
Trauma-Informed Modalities: Psychodynamic Therapy, Body Process, Gestalt, CBT, Poly-Vagal Theory, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and Inner Child work.
Embodied Processing: a somatic and psycho-therapeutic approach that explores the roots of trauma, anxiety, and other stress-related issues through a Poly-Vagal Nervous System lens, aiming for holistic healing.
Self-Therapy: techniques designed to promote agency, enhance self-awareness, and provide the tool you need to empower your self healing journey.

About me and my therapy practice
Welcome
Hi, I'm Georgina a Trauma informed and somatic based supervisor with 12 years experience as a psychotherapeutic counsellor in private practise.
I am also a yoga teacher and teach local classes; I work one day a week at a local secondary school where I offer trauma informed therapeutic interventions to students, and I work for Red Umbrealla/CareCoins as a counsellor.
My CPCAB Level 6 supervision training is based on Hawkins and Shohet's Seven Eyed Process Model. I draw upon the developmental and relational approaches to supervision.
If you would like to work more spiritually, I can help you to develop and integrate a mind-body-soul based approach of working with your clients.

Practice description
My approach to supervision
I am familiar with a variety of theories and competencies needed to be a safe and effective supervisor including working with: 'authority' in the supervisory relationship, transference and countertransference in the therapeutic relationship, working with the clients/supervisee needs, while taking a cross-modal approach to working with supervisees from various theoretical approaches.
As your supervisor, I will ensure that you feel able;
To work safely, legally, and ethically as a supervisor
To work with implicit aspects of the client and therapeutic relationship.
To develop your self-awareness and intuition as a counsellor.
To apply theory, research, and theoretical skills to the therapeutic relationship.
To work self-reflectively as a counsellor.
To work safely, legally, and ethically as a counsellor.
To develop your self-awareness and intuition as a counsellor.
And, to feel safe and empowered in your practice.
A collaborative approach
I believe supervision is a collaborative process, and as the supervisor I will facilitate and guide you to learn and develop confidence as an independent practitioner.
The supervision relationship is a unique one and I believe it has to feel right in order for you to be yourself and feel confident to bring what you want to the session and ask for what you need in each session without fear of being judged or shamed.
I always offer non-judgmental and humanistic supervision, I like to offer constructive feedback and encouragement to ensure your self-development both as an individual and as a counsellor.
Session details
I am currently offering supervision online via Zoom and would be happy to provide either one-hour monthly supervision (alongside own group supervision provision) or the BACP 1.5 hour requirement for monthly supervision.
My fee is £60 for a 60-minute session or £85 for the BACP recommended 1.5-hour monthly supervision.
My first session
During our first session, we will spend time establishing our contract and discussing your needs and goals as an independent counsellor in supervision.
We will also ensure that we're a good fit to work together and together decide on a suitable way forward for your supervision journey.
