About me and my therapy practice
Are you finding it difficult to manage:
Anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, isolation, overwhelm, sensory challenges, emotional regulation, relationships, parenting, workplace dynamics, life transitions, trauma, or intersectionality?
Hello, I’m April.
I specialise in supporting neurodivergent individuals, adults navigating neurodiversity in their relationships, and parents or carers of neurodivergent children.
You don’t need a formal diagnosis to access support.
My approach is compassionate and tailored to your unique needs, helping you overcome challenges and grow personally.
Sessions are available in-person in Bristol or online for clients across the UK.
If neurodiversity affects your life, directly or indirectly, I’d love to hear from you.

Therapy is about building a trusting, compassionate relationship where you feel heard and valued. I draw from a range of approaches to tailor our work together:
* Person-Centred Therapy: A non-judgmental space where you’re fully heard and valued.
* Psychodynamic Approaches: Understanding how past experiences shape your present.
* Gestalt Therapy: Focusing on the here and now to deepen self-awareness.
* Body Psychotherapy: Recognising the connection between mind and body.
* Trauma-Informed Approaches: Prioritising safety, trust, and empowerment in healing.
Practice description
Through my journey of supporting neurodivergent family members, I’ve gained invaluable firsthand experience navigating the unique joys, challenges, and perspectives that neurodiversity brings.
These relationships have deepened my understanding of how neurodiversity influences communication, relationships, and everyday life. They have also instilled in me a profound respect for the individuality and resilience of those I support.
Coupled with my professional training, this personal insight enables me to create a compassionate and understanding environment where clients feel safe to explore their strengths, challenges, and aspirations at their own pace.
Whether you are neurodivergent yourself or impacted by neurodiversity in your relationships, I’m here to help you navigate these experiences with empathy and tailored support.
Drawing on my training at Re-Vision, I work within an Integrative and Transpersonal framework, blending therapeutic approaches to suit individual needs. This includes exploring inner strengths, personal growth, and, for those open to it, the spiritual dimensions of life.
My first session
Initial consultation (50 minutes)
Available online or in person. This session is a chance for us to meet and talk about what brings you to counseling. We’ll explore your questions, hopes, and any concerns you may have. It’s also an opportunity to see if we’re a good fit to work together and to lay the foundation for a supportive therapeutic relationship.
