About me and my therapy practice
I’m a full clinical member of UKCP and a BACP-registered psychotherapist, offering a depth-oriented, relational approach to counselling and psychotherapy. My practice is grounded in an integration of somatic, psychodynamic, and transpersonal perspectives, with a particular emphasis on how embodied experience shapes our psychological life.
I work with people navigating a wide range of life experiences, including trauma, neurodivergence, relationship challenges, and questions of identity, meaning, and belonging. Many of my clients are exploring areas such as LGBTQ+ identity, complex family dynamics, the impacts of misogyny or systemic oppression, or the effects of burnout and overwhelm in a fast-paced world. I also support those processing grief, climate anxiety, or integrating experiences from psychedelics or spiritual emergence. Whatever brings you, I aim to meet you with depth, care, and a spaciousness that allows the full complexity of your experience to unfold.
Practice description
Therapy is a deeply personal process that recognises the uniqueness of your experiences and inner world. The foundation of effective therapy lies in a genuine, collaborative relationship rooted in attunement and emotional connection. As a psychotherapist, my role is to provide a safe and compassionate space where we can explore the patterns, emotions, and unconscious processes that shape your life.
The pain and suffering we encounter often lead us to develop protective strategies to feel safe. While these defences serve a purpose, they can also distance us from our deeper feelings, needs, and authentic selves, eventually showing up as "symptoms" like anxiety, depression, relational struggles, disconnection, or a loss of direction.
These symptoms are not random; they carry meaning, signalling that something within needs attention. Therapy offers a space to explore these experiences with care, to uncover hidden parts of yourself, and foster a sense of wholeness. It’s not just about easing distress, it’s about rediscovering who you are and creating a life path that feels true to you.
My first session
I offer a no-obligation, free 15-minute consultation via Zoom to answer your questions and to help us both get a sense of what working together could be like. Please contact me by email for availability: hello@therapywithdaniel.co.uk.
If we then agree to proceed to a first session, this will be a space for you to begin sharing what brings you to therapy, ask any further questions, and get a feel for how I work. I’ll also be listening for what kind of support might be most helpful to you, and how we might approach our work together. There's no expectation to commit beyond that unless it feels right for you.
