About me and my therapy practice
Seeking help and finding the right counsellor can sometimes feel challenging. In my private practice, I offer a caring and supportive approach, providing a confidential space for you to explore both current issues and past experiences.
I am a qualified and experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor and Psychologist, offering weekly sessions to adults of all ages and backgrounds.
I work with a wide range of psychological and relational difficulties, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorders, and the lasting impact of early adverse childhood experiences.
I have substantial experience supporting people of all genders, and from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, who have experienced sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, or other forms of abuse and neglect. Over the past four years, I have also facilitated seminars for primary and secondary school educators, focusing on mental resilience and emotional wellbeing in the workplace.
Degrees-Diploma:
• Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling – Wessex Counselling & Psychotherapy
• MSc in Applied Clinical Psychology – University of Bath
• BSc in Psychology – University of Central Lancashire (UCLan)
Professional memberships:
• Registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
• Registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)
• Graduate member of British Psychological Society (BPS)
• Registered with the Association of Greek Psychologists
Practice description
I see clients both online and in person, in a consulting room located in central Bath. The room is comfortable and spacious. My work is informed by a psychoanalytic approach.
Psychodynamic counselling is an active and reflective form of therapy that unfolds at your own pace, without pressure or directive guidance.
Whatever you may be facing, we can begin to explore the underlying thoughts and feelings together, making sense of your inner world and considering how past experiences may be shaping your present. This work can bring lasting emotional change and insight which can create new opportunities of how you approach life and relationships.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation, which provides an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to therapy, whether my approach might be helpful to you, and whether it feels right for us to work together. There is no obligation to begin therapy following this conversation.
If we decide to work together, sessions will take place once a week and last 50 minutes.
