About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, uncertain. You may be feeling weighed down by worry, facing challenges that feel too heavy to carry. Perhaps you are feeling stuck, trapped in your own thoughts and unable to break free, no matter how hard you try. Perhaps you push your feelings down because you feel like you don鈥檛 have the right to be upset, while longing for the understanding and support to find your way forwards. Or maybe you just need time and space to explore what is going on for you.
Whether you're carrying a burden from the past, facing difficult decisions, or simply feeling unsure where to turn, I understand how deeply these issues can affect how it feels to be you as well as your daily life.
If you feel that you would like to talk to someone, even if you don't know where to begin, I am here to listen and provide meaningful emotional support.
Working with farmers and family members:
I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by farmers and farming families. Having always been involved in farming and rural communities, I have a particular interest in working with the mental and emotional complexities of farming life. I can provide a safe space to talk and be heard without judgment, where we can explore the stresses, pressures, and emotional toll that farming life can bring.
How Counselling Can Help
I will help you by truly understanding, listening with care, respect, and openness. We can explore difficult feelings in a way that feels safe, without judgment or pressure, and make sense of your experiences and thoughts. As we work together, you may feel clearer and stronger; you will rediscover your strengths and inner resources, gain new insights, self-understanding, and the confidence to move forward in your life with purpose and hope for the future.
Whether it is a safe space to talk openly and find acceptance and compassion, or more guiding support you feel you need, my approach is tailored to meeting the needs and circumstances of each person.

Some of the issues my clients typically come to me for help with include:
Self-esteem and self-doubt: The experiences and influences we have in childhood, and often present in our adult lives, shape the way we see ourselves and the world. Together, we can gently explore and challenge self-doubt, and help you build confidence, self-respect, and a more positive, grounded sense of who you are.
Guilt and shame: Living with guilt or shame can have a real impact on ourselves, our relationships and our quality of life, but these emotions don鈥檛 define who we are. Together we can explore the ways you and your life are affected and you鈥檒l have my support as you find a way forward which is founded on openness, self-compassion and acceptance.
Social Anxiety: I work with you to explore and understand your unique experiences with social anxiety in a supportive, empathetic way. Through gentle conversations, we can uncover the underlying thoughts and feelings that contribute to your anxiety, and I鈥檒l support you in finding strategies that feel right for you.
Difficulties with Anger: I understand that anger can be overwhelming and isolating - we can safely and gently explore what's underneath it, work through it together at your own pace, and find ways to help you find peace within yourself, and feel more true to who you are.
