About me and my therapy practice
I am a pluralistic therapist, which means I take elements from different therapeutic modalities, tailoring my approach and the work we do together to what best suits your needs. I believe that you have the capacity to grow and develop, you are the expert in your life, but sometimes it is useful to have support along that journey and that is what I aim to offer. I will not tell you what to do, but use my knowledge and skills to work with you with whatever you choose to bring to therapy.
Practice description
I run a professional therapy business based in Glasgow, offering one-to-one mental health and emotional well-being support, both online and in person. Life can be tough with many things such as changes, anxiety, depression, trauma and grief altering how we feel about and approach each day. I provide a confidential space where you can work through life's challenges with support.
My first session
Firstly I offer a no-obligation, free 20 minute consultation where we can meet either in person or online, this is a chance for us to get to know each other and discuss what might be helpful, what I can offer and if I am the right therapist for you.
Our first session is a little bit different to other sessions as it will involve discussing the boundaries of therapy and is a time where I learn more about what you want from therapy and how best you work. There is no pressure to tell me everything about yourself or tell me anything private, trust can take time to build and the first session is a chance to lay the foundations and ask any questions you may want to to help you feel more comfortable.
