Availability

If you're thinking about counselling and not sure where to begin, you're very welcome to get in touch. I currently have space for new clients, and we can start with a conversation to see whether I鈥檓 the right fit for you.

There鈥檚 no pressure 鈥 just a chance to talk about what鈥檚 bringing you here and how therapy might support you.

I work from a quiet, comfortable, and private practice room in Nottingham (Tollerton), designed to feel like a safe and welcoming space. I also offer online sessions if you'd prefer to meet remotely.

Sessions are available Monday to Saturday, including some evenings.

We can find a time that fits around your schedule.

Whether you're facing something specific or you're not quite sure what鈥檚 wrong 鈥 just that things don鈥檛 feel right 鈥 this could be a place to pause, reflect, and take stock.

You don鈥檛 need to have the right words or a clear goal to start. We can work at your pace.

About me and my therapy practice

Whether you're facing something specific or just sensing that life feels off balance, taking the step toward counselling is a courageous one 鈥 and you're not alone in it.

I'm a person-centred counsellor based in Nottingham, offering a calm, grounded, and compassionate space where you can feel heard, accepted, and not judged. Whatever you're carrying 鈥 anxiety, overwhelm, relationship issues, past trauma, or something you can鈥檛 yet name 鈥 we can sit with it together.

I believe that you hold the answers within you, and therapy can help uncover them. My role isn't to "fix" you but to be alongside you 鈥 really seeing and hearing you as you explore what you need, what matters, and what healing might look like for you.

Clients often come to me feeling stuck, lost, or disconnected 鈥 and leave feeling more connected to themselves, with a clearer sense of their own voice. I work gently and respectfully, at your pace. If you need space to reflect, untangle, or simply be with what鈥檚 happening, we can begin there.

Whether you come with something specific in mind or simply a sense that now might be the right time, this is a space where we can begin.

Practice description

I believe that taking time to get to know yourself 鈥 with compassion rather than criticism 鈥 can lead to real change. Therapy, to me, isn鈥檛 about diagnosing or fixing you. It鈥檚 about creating space for you to explore your story, your emotions, and your relationships in a way that feels safe, supported, and empowering.

In my practice, I offer a calm and confidential space where you can bring anything that鈥檚 on your mind 鈥 from the loud, tangled thoughts to the quiet ones that feel harder to name. There鈥檚 no pressure to be a certain way, or to have the 鈥渞ight鈥 words. You鈥檙e free to be exactly as you are.

As a person-centred counsellor, I don鈥檛 direct the session or give advice. Instead, I listen deeply, respond openly, and stay alongside you as we make sense of things together. I trust that you are the expert in your own experience, and that healing comes through feeling truly seen, heard, and accepted.

I work with a range of issues, including anxiety, relationship struggles, past trauma, and self-esteem. I also have experience supporting clients living with OCD or navigating life with traits linked to neurodivergence (such as ADHD or autism). These can bring very real challenges, and therapy can offer space to explore what鈥檚 going on beneath the surface, at your own pace.

In my practice, I also support young adults (18-25), particularly young men who may be navigating life transitions, managing anxiety, or facing pressures in their personal or professional lives. Therapy can provide them with a confidential and supportive space to explore these challenges, gain insight, and feel understood without judgment.

Whether we sit in silence, dive into something emotional, or slowly build trust over time 鈥 I鈥檒l meet you there. My goal is to support you in reconnecting with your own voice, values, and direction.

My first session

I offer a free 30-minute initial session with no obligation 鈥 this can be by phone, online, or in person at my Nottingham practice, depending on what feels most comfortable for you.

This first conversation is a chance for us to get a sense of each other and explore how we might work together. You can ask questions, share what鈥檚 bringing you to therapy (as much or as little as you feel ready to), and get a feel for how I hold the space.

There鈥檚 no pressure to go into anything deep straight away 鈥 this session is about connection, not commitment. If it feels like a good fit, we can then look at arranging ongoing sessions at a pace that suits you.

We鈥檒l also talk through any practical bits, like confidentiality, availability, and how sessions work, so you can feel informed and empowered in your decision.

Just like anything you bring to therapy, we can talk through whatever鈥檚 on your mind 鈥 nerves, uncertainty, hopes, or doubts. You're welcome exactly as you are.
