About me and my therapy practice
Hello. I am a person-centred counsellor, working face to face in south Liverpool, as well as on the telephone and online. I have specific additional training in working with children and teenagers, and twenty five years experience working in schools, as a counsellor and pastoral leader. I have extensive experience in counselling adults and young people who are managing anxiety, depression, bereavement, and turmoil around current feelings, as well as processing feelings around past events. I can offer a safe and inclusive, non-judgmental space, to work with you on whatever you may be experiencing. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I am passionate about the power of counselling to change people’s lives. I look forward to speaking to you and beginning our journey together.
Practice description
I am a person-centred counsellor. This means that I believe that you are the expert on your own experience and feelings. I will listen to you, without judgement, and together we will explore what is hurting, or feeling difficult, and how you can feel better.
I also offer play therapy, where we can use toys and other objects, or drawing and colouring, to facilitate the exploration of your feelings.
My first session
You are welcome to an initial telephone chat, so that you can decide if I am the right counsellor for you. In our first session together we will complete a contract, so that you know exactly what you can expect from me; I will invite you to ask any questions you may have and then I will give you the space to tell me what has brought you to counselling, and our therapeutic journey will begin.
