About me and my therapy practice
I am a Relate trained and BACP qualified therapist specialising in relationships.
Many individuals work with me in order to feel less anxious and depressed. Some want to make a fresh start in relationships. We can help you learn better coping strategies for life’s problems so you feel better about yourself.
For couples, it could be broken trust, poor communication, or chronic arguing that brings you here. Maybe you need to express strong emotions following an affair, or reconnect with your partner following a communication breakdown.
Practice description
I believe that everyone longs to feel validated and accepted. Yet sharing our innermost thoughts can feel unnerving and overwhelming. Exploring your private worlds with a trusted counsellor can repair complex problems and set you on the road to a more fulfilling life.
Some enter counselling to free themselves from anxiety and depression. Others need to work through a bereavement, resolve conflicts with their partner, or to heal from a past, painful episode. Maybe old coping strategies no longer soothe and comfort, and you need to forge new pathways and imbed more helpful solutions.
Workplace coaching
Sometimes you need help with problems at work. I hold an MA in organisational consulting so we can also explore your workplace issues and career challenges.
My first session
During our first session I'll learn what you want to achieve through counselling. We will explore your current world and discover how your past may be influencing your present.
For couples, I create a setting where you can truly hear each other, not just to the words but what is underneath. I offer insights so the two of you can reach across the divide and move forward as a couple, or separately.
Types of therapy
