About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling stressed, anxious or sad? Struggling with low self-esteem, depression or relationship difficulties?
With all the change in the world at the moment, it’s understandable that you may be feeling overwhelmed and uncertain.
Worries can take over and lead to negative thought patterns, which in turn can negatively effect our behaviour and impact relationships with loved ones or our performance at work.
Talking to someone can really help you to gain valuable perspective and find a new way forward to reaching your goals.
The best thing about counselling is that it’s completely confidential and nothing you say is silly.
I am an experienced and fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, with an AIM level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their strict ethical framework. I am also a fully qualified supervisor (please see my supervisor page for more detailed information).
I work with adults of all ages, with a range of issues including stress, anxiety, bereavement and loss, depression, family issues and relationship problems.
I provide a safe, non judgmental space, where we can discuss what is holding you back and find a way forward, at your pace and towards your desired goals.
Practice description
I started working online during the pandemic and have made the decision to keep working online/phone only. I have found I have just as much success, online/phone as I do in-person. If in doubt, I would say give it a go and see how it works for you.
I offer short and long term counselling, with the flexibility of daytime or some evening and weekend appointments.
I work using the Person Centred Approach, but can draw on other skills such as CBT and psychoanalysis, taking the approach that is most beneficial to the client at that time.
I work in a positive and accepting way, which allows you to gain new understanding and insight into your issues.
Seeing things in a more balanced way will allow you to create positive change and to find resolutions to the challenges facing you.

Availability
As a fully qualified person-centered and integrative supervisor, I offer supervision to both individuals and groups.
I am a registered member of BACP and working to their ethical guidelines.
Good supervision is key to good client work and the development of the therapist. I therefore aim to establish a good rapport and therapeutic relationship with my supervisees so that you can explore both the needs of the client and yourself in the work with your clients within a supportive relationship.
I work with theories of integrative & person-centred supervision as well as other models such as Shohet and Hawkins' 7 Eyed Model. This supports the supervisee by looking at their own systems, self-care and ways of working, helping them to maintain ethical and safe practice and ultimately ensure the needs of the client are being met. I appreciate how important my own supervision has been to me both personally and professionally throughout my counselling career and now enjoy having the opportunity to support fellow counsellors in the same way.
My fees are £50 per hour or £75 for 90 minutes, concessions available for student counsellors or psychotherapists.
