About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Kellie and I am an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I can offer you a confidential, non-judgemental and welcoming space, in which we can explore your reasons for seeking the support of a counsellor.

My approach is client-led. I work creatively and holistically, with individuals, couples and groups. I draw on various counselling techniques and theories, to offer sessions that are tailored to meet individual client’s needs. I may offer up some ‘self-care’ practices, problem solving and coping strategies alongside Psychotherapeutic Counselling practices.

I am trained to use creative Arts in Therapy. This requires no previous art experience and can help to process thoughts and feelings, especially when finding words is difficult. This approach includes using art materials, collage, postcards, sand/water tray during sessions, offering insights and new perspectives.

I work with individual adults, couples, parents, carers and small groups. My previous experience includes supporting clients managing change; parents of SEN children; carers; and those living with a diagnosis of Dementia. I support neurodiversity and inclusion. I have worked in various settings, including schools, SEN departments, Dementia & frail care settings; Community Arts venues and in local Refugee centres. I have studied, lived and worked in various parts of the world and I enjoy working with individuals from diverse cultures, faiths and backgrounds.

My qualifications include an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree, with accredited postgraduate training in Psychotherapeutic Counselling of Adults and Children (BACP and UKCP accredited training). Further training in Early Years, Attachment, Childhood Studies, ASD and Dementia underpins my practice. I am a trained Family Links Early Years and Teens parent group facilitator. I’m also a qualified Anusara Hatha Yoga Teacher and hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Creative Arts Education (HE).

Practice description

I am an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, with a Person-Centred and creative approach. I offer online counselling and face-to-face sessions for individuals and groups, in a studio setting or outdoors.

Through conversation and ongoing reflection, I can offer you a confidential space to explore your reasons for coming to therapy and support you as you work through life’s challenges.

I am trained in both talking therapy and the use of creative Arts in Therapy. You may like to explore using art materials, collage, postcards, sand/water tray during sessions. No prior artmaking experience is necessary. Using mark-making materials, collage, postcards, sand/water tray may help you to explore and discover new insights and perspectives, without the need for words.

As a Anusara Hatha Yoga Teacher, I can also support you to explore breathwork, which can help to enhance feelings of calm and relaxation.

I offer a range of 50 minute Counselling session options:
– Online counselling across the UK for individuals or couples.
– Face-to-face counselling using Arts in Therapy, in a purpose-built art studio in Surrey, for individuals, couples, or groups.
– Face-to face counselling in an outdoor setting in Surrey, for individuals (with or without a service/support dog).

Please email me for further information.

My first session

It is important that you find the right counsellor, that you feel comfortable and relaxed with. I therefore offer an initial free 20 minute consultation, to discuss counselling. This session is an opportunity for you to explain your situation and for me to tell you a little more about how I work. You may ask any questions you have regarding counselling. After the initial online consultation, you can decide if would like to continue and pursue short or longer-term counselling. In the next session, we will spend a short time completing some necessary admin forms, before starting the counselling session.
