About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor, working full time in private practice. I qualified in 2008 and over the years I have worked with various charities in the area of Children's Rights and as a Psychotherapist.
I work with couples and individuals, offering long term, short term and Single Session Therapy interventions. My specialisms are in Narcissistic abuse and ADHD. I also have extensive experience with working with binge eating, anxiety, depression, relationship problems and life transitions.
My interests in couples therapy include neurodiversity, communication, infidelity, and navigating life transitions together.
My private practice is located in Blackheath and I also offer virtual sessions over Zoom.
For clients with ADHD, I offer a 12-week awareness and strategy programme designed to help you better understand your experiences and develop personalised tools for daily life. The programme combines psychoeducation, self-reflection, and practical strategies to support focus, emotional regulation, and self-esteem.
I also offer single session therapy for those who want to explore a specific issue or gain clarity around a particular challenge. This flexible approach can be a powerful starting point or a helpful check-in when you need focused support.
In addition to my individual work, I am the founder of Heathwell Therapies, a clinic based in Blackheath Village (SE3) with a dedicated team of therapists. At Heathwell, we specialise in adolescent therapy, relationship and couples work, and providing tailored support for parents navigating the challenges of family life.
Practice description
FOR INDIVIDUALS:
The starting point of Existential Psychotherapy is your experience; this means that I focus on your unique experience of yourself and the world, and your meaning-making processes.
We all have a natural inclination to find connections and make sense of life, but sometimes we may tie things together that aren't truly linked. I like to call these connections 'obstructive meanings' or 'knots.' In our sessions, we'll work together to spot these knots, deconstruct them, and create healthier connections. The goal of therapy is to craft a narrative that resonates with you. As your therapist, I will actively participate in our sessions, helping you explore different perspectives of your life story.
Existential psychotherapy is a relational approach, examining in detail our relationship patterns with ourselves (our bodies and lived experiences), others, and the world around us.
When suitable I incorporate bodywork to facilitate trauma healing. Furthermore, I use inner child work to help clients become aware of their internal dialogues, understand the way that they relate with themselves and foster healthier self relationships.
FOR COUPLES:
We often interpret our partner’s words through the filter of our own fears and past experiences, existential therapy helps slow this down, encouraging honest reflection on each person’s values, assumptions, and needs. Together, we explore how each partner can take responsibility for their role in the relationship, communicate more intentionally, and reconnect with what really matters to them.
My specialisms include working with couples experiencing communication difficulties, navigating neurodiversity within the relationship, rebuilding trust after infidelity, and supporting couples through life transitions. Whether you’re navigating conflict, rebuilding after a rupture, or seeking clarity about your future together, I offer flexible options tailored to your needs, from single sessions to longer-term or solution-focused support.
My first session
If you're interested to know more about how a counselling session may work for you, please get in touch for an informal 20 minute telephone or online consultation to see if we're a good match to work together and answer any questions you may have.
