Availability
I am flexible and offer therapy weekly or fortnightly with some early evening availability. Please get in touch and we can explore further.
Our session can be in person or online dependent on the outcome of our consultation.
The consultation is free and an opportunity for me to take a few details, for you to share what you need to share, for us both to discuss availability and fees, alongside our getting a feel for each other and if we feel we could work effectively together.
This can take place via phone or in person and last around 20/30 mins - please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I ask that you ensure you are somewhere you feel comfortable talking with no interruptions or the potential to be overheard.
After the consultation you may need a little time to reflect before you decide next steps, or you may know at this point - I will support your decision and together we will see what this looks like moving forward.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a level 6 qualified counsellor whose approach and practice is person centred, what this means is that I believe we all experience and respond to life in our own way. I understand how life events and our response to them, shapes who we are, how this is always changing, and through our recognising and accepting ourselves provides the platform for us to be who we are.
At times, facing ourselves and what’s going on in life can leave us feeling unbalanced, out of control or afraid – impacting on every level, leaving us at times overwhelmed, uncertain or without purpose. It is at these times I offer support, our relationship is key and I will work hard to understand you and your world in order to provide the support you need.
I consider myself fortunate if invited to walk alongside you at this time and be a part of your world, through providing support and the opportunity to pause, reflect, heal and grow – delivering this in a professional, ethical and compassionate way.
Life can be a challenge at times, and focusing on your needs - together, may enable you to find your way through these challenges, gain some clarity, restoring balance and finding your way forward.

A little about me:
I spent many of my younger years either in education (which includes but is not limited to; Nursing and Social Work Training, BSc (Hons) Behavioural Science) together with customer facing roles working my way up through the ranks in some. Each of these experiences enabled me to engage in my favourite activity – being with, talking with, learning, laughing and sharing hard times with others. In short, people have always fascinated me, and I learnt from an early age that no two people are the same and that people and relationships are vitally important to me.
I have been a qualified counsellor with my own private practice for many years, the decision to train to be a counsellor was one I was focussed on achieving after life threw a few curveballs. The training was intense and hard on so many levels but it was worth it and I would not change a thing.
I have spent the last six years alongside my private practice, creating, developing and leading a counselling service with student counsellors seeing this as a platform for me to not only support the individual - be that student or client, but to support and guide those who value people as I do through not only achieving their own personal aims but in supporting others to do the same. This role and what it offers each person and in turn the community, compliments my private practice and offers fresh insights to my professional and personal development.
My first session
Once our consultation is complete and the decision made to continue our work together, I will email our agreement along with confirmation of the day and time and instruction on how to enter the building so you know what to expect.
During this first session we will go through the agreement to ensure clarity and transparency for both. We will then discuss further what has brought you to be sat with me. In this time there may be tears, laughter, pause for reflection and silence - all of which are useful in their own way.
No two sessions are the same, there may be times when you feel you have gone backwards, you are stuck, enlightened or moments of shift and personal growth. I will share this experience with you, until at some point our work together comes to an end.
You will move on having achieved your aims, or some of them with increased strength, resilience and independence able to face the challenges presented, knowing, should you need - my door is always open.
