About me and my therapy practice
My practice is currently available online only with sessions available using Zoom.
This enables me to work with clients across the UK and overseas.
If you are in a time zone other than GMT please note this in your enquiry to enable me to consider suitable session times.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. For therapy its important to find someone with whom you can feel comfortable and safe.
I offer a truly non-judgemental approach where you will be accepted as the unique human being you are. By enabling you to speak openly about what is happening in your life, I will join you in exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to help you to find lasting change and a different future.
I work with a wide range of adult clients and believe that support is valuable for all. Whether you are 18 or 80 it is never too late to change or create a different life story.
I offer both long term and short term work, with you in control of the content and the duration: it is my role to guide and support your own process not impose my own.
Many clients have commented that my way of working helps them to feel accepted, understood and trusted. I aim to build a relationship where you can be honest and open about your issues supporting a depth of work where long lasting change can be found.
I also believe that there is room for humour in therapy. Smiles and laughter are hugely beneficial for our psychological health and enabling people to find joy in life is one of my driving beliefs.
Single -Session Therapy
For clients with a specific issue they wish to explore, I also offer single-session therapy. This requires completion of a brief questionnaire before the session. This is reviewed prior to the therapy session to enable us to make best use of the time together. Many clients have found this approach to be helpful when faced with unexpected events or dilemmas where ongoing work is not necessarily required.

My first session
I offer all new clients an initial assessment which lasts between 60 and 70 minutes.
This gives us both the opportunity to meet and to explore how we might work together to support you.
During the assessment I will write down relevant details to help me get as clear a picture as I can about the issues you want to discuss. I keep the session informal and warm with an emphasis on us having a conversation. It will not be an interview although I will need to ask questions on occasion.
There may be the opportunity to offer some immediate support in an assessment but, depending on the issues you bring, it may be more about information gathering so I am able to suggest a suitable therapeutic approach.
After the assessment you will not be pressured into making a commitment to further therapy. I will describe what I think the work entails and do my best to give an indication of whether this may be short or long term work.
I will encourage you to take your time and think about what you want to do.
Please do get in touch if you require any further information.

About me and my therapy practice
My Supervision offering
I work broadly within a Person-Centred approach and am non-directive in terms of the content supervisees bring. I am comfortable in working with different disciplines and bring an experiential process to the work which enables effective working across different approaches.
I believe that structure is important within the supervision process to ensure all aspects are attended to. This structure is brought by the Cyclical model for supervision, a clear contracting process and the following values which underpin my supervisory work:
Clarity - we will agree clear boundaries for our work together
Mutuality - we will work in partnership with each other
Commitment - we will make ourselves available and prepare for supervision.
Openness - we will be open to discussion and transparency in our work together.
Adaptability - as our supervisory relationship deepens we will work together to review and adapt our approach.
I view supervision as a long-term relationship.
We will work together to build an effective way of being with each other which addresses the common power imbalance in the supervisory relationship.
My belief is that the supervisor's view holds no greater value than your own, it merely offers a different perspective. This is the value I bring to my work with clients and the same holds true for the supervisory process.
Single-Session Supervision
I offer Single-Session Supervision where practitioners require one-off or specialist input. My specialist areas include:
- supporting practitioners who work as dual-qualified Coaches and Therapists and those exploring this approach as a future option.
- supporting Neuro-divergent practitioners.
- mentoring for practitioners new to private practice.
- additional support for those in training as Humanistic or Person-Centred Psychotherapists and Counsellors.
Practice description
I offer online supervision for individuals and groups.
Individual supervision can be for 60 or 90 minutes and is ideally on a monthly basis.
Group supervision can be for 2, 3 or 4 supervisees and is generally 30 minutes per supervisee attending. Group supervision can be on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.
You are welcome to contact me to explore groupwork with a pre-formed group or to be placed on a waiting list for joining an existing group.
I also offer single-session supervision for those who wish to gain a different perspective on a specific issue.
I am qualified with a Diploma in Clinical Supervision from The Awareness Centre.
If you are interested in discussing supervision with me I offer a free 20 minute initial conversation.
Fees from 1st June 2024
Supervision fees for monthly work are:
Individual £85 per hour or £125 for 90 minutes.
Single-Session Supervision £110 for an hour.
Group supervision is £50 per attendee.
My first session
In our initial supervisory session, the focus is on building the relationship and gaining an awareness of your current working practice including any specific issues you wish to explore.
More broadly, this enables us both to meet and discuss how we would work together to support you in your practice.
I don't require supervisees to complete an assessment but will ask for information relating to your current practice, your client numbers and any preferences you have in how you work. This will be part of our first session.
For Single-Session Supervision - a brief questionnaire will be provided prior to our session to enable me to consider how best to support you and ensure you get the most help from our hour together. The review of this is included in the overall fee.
