About me and my therapy practice
I work short and long term and we can have as little as 6 sessions preferentially weekly or for as long as it feels that the work is beneficial for you.
I deliver sessions that last 50 minutes in person for children and adults in my practice in North Finchley and East Finchley. I can work with you online or over the phone or via messaging if I understand it to be beneficial for you and your needs which we can discuss on our first session. Remote sessions can work for those over 14 years old with parental/carer support.
Practice description
I trained over 15 years ago as a Person Centred Therapist although have been inspired and had further professional development with other modalities in accordance to my clientele needs.
I came to live in the UK age 20 and as such am very familiar with transitions and adaptations that one goes through in life which informs my cultural awareness and that of the ones I work with.
The core of my training lays on my qualities as a warm, non judgemental, empathic human being that has been trained to truly listen to you and establish a relationship of trust so that the work can happen.
I am a strong believer that most people would benefit from therapy for small aspects of their lives that are not necessarily presenting as an issue but that you would like some support with such as difficulties connecting with others, exploring your health/career/life directions, support with healthier habits, self worth to mention a few.
I specialise in ADHD, autism, neurodivergence related issues, trauma, anxiety, relationships, bereavement, illness, divorce/separation, infidelity/affairs, young peoples issues, women’s issues, unhealthy relationships with food amongst others. I can refer you to more suitable type of therapist/service if I do not feel to be able to support your needs.
My first session
In our first session I will ask you a few questions that will help me to understand what brought you to therapy. This is a space for you to ask any questions too either about myself, my way of work or the number of sessions we are looking at working for.
First session is the same price as on going sessions and I will explain about confidentiality of sessions.
