Exploring men's experiences of person-centred therapy
I am a Ma student studying counselling and psychotherapy practice at Liverpool John Moores University. The research project that I am conducting aims to explore and capture the experience of men that have experienced person-centred counselling. This is to deepen understanding with regards to how we deem person-centred therapy as effective and what are the important aspects for clients.
This study is looking to recruit those who identify as cis or trans male and are aged 18+ to take part in an interview that will be held via online on Microsoft Teams.
You must have also have experienced person-centred therapy for 6-8 sessions with this ending at least 6 months prior.
If you consider yourself suitable to take part and you would show an interest in participating then please contact me directly by M.Wall@2022.ljmu.ac.uk.
I hope the results of this study will increase our understanding about what is important in therapy - specifically from a client perspective, using the experience as the reference point.
