How inner speech is used and differs between neurodivergent and neurotypical people in a therapeutic setting

I am a BSc Counselling student at the University of East London. For my dissertation, I am researching how inner speech is used and differs between neurodivergent and neurotypical people in a therapeutic setting. The research aims to understand how inner speech is used in therapy and explore the individual differences in its use and the resulting impact.

I am seeking qualified therapists who have experience working with both neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals. Participation will involve an interview via MS Teams lasting approximately 40 to 60 minutes.

The study has received ethical approval from the University of East London Ethical Committee and will be supervised by a senior lecturer. Participation is voluntary and will not be compensated, but your time will be valued.

If you meet the criteria and would like to participate or want more information, please contact U2270114@uel.ac.uk.
