Exploring Mental Health Professionals' Integration of Nutritional Psychiatry Research into Clinical Practice
I鈥檓 an IACP-accredited psychotherapist and PhD researcher at the University of Limerick. We are conducting a research study titled 鈥淓xploring Mental Health Professionals' Integration of Nutritional Psychiatry Research into Clinical Practice鈥.
This study is part of an international collaboration spanning Europe, Australasia, and North America.
UK-based counsellors and psychotherapists play a vital role in this research, as my part of the project focuses on capturing the perspectives of practitioners in the UK and Ireland.
Despite strong evidence linking nutrition to mental health, little is known about how clinicians are implementing these findings. We鈥檙e keen to hear from practitioners - whether nutrition is a key focus, something they touch on occasionally, or something they don鈥檛 engage with at all. Their perspectives could help shape future recommendations for education and clinical practice.
The study has received full ethical approval, and participation is entirely voluntary. I鈥檝e attached a the participant information sheets for your review.
If you have any questions, please don鈥檛 hesitate to get in touch - you can reply directly to me (Leonard.Jayne@ul.ie), or contact the Principal Investigator, Dr Anne Griffin (Anne.Griffin@ul.ie).
For further information or if you are interested in participating, please see the Participant Information Sheet here.
